• Control of changes and maintenance methods

Ezyquip Hire chose Plant Assessor as its platform to manage risks associated with plant and equipment; and over the past 15 months has illustrated exceptional planning and execution in conducting a comprehensive plant safety plan.

General Manager, Denis Gardner acknowledged that the decision to utilise Plant Assessor was extremely significant for the company, as the system would allow the team to have a more unified approach when monitoring and maintaining the safety of the fleet.

Our team members can check the status of plant safety online at any time, and can also provide detailed, machine specific risk assessments to our clients while they have plant on hire with the simple click of a button”. Mr Gardner stated.

Ezyquip Hire’s Safety Manager, Peter Lupschen; well known in Queensland safety circles for his tireless efforts as a committee member at the Safety Institute of Australia, has also been impressed with the system since it was rolled out within the company. “We have been able to conduct comprehensive safety assessments on more than 600 pieces of large plant in the last 12 months, which would have taken us years using our old paper system”. Mr Lupschen explained.

Implementation of the plant safety management system has resulted in improved plant compliance and better safety information being readily made available to customers.

More broadly, the Integrated Management System implementation has resulted in the virtual elimination of lost time injuries, and has seen a considerable reduction in medically treated injuries.
