Update: Accepting Connections at a Company Level

Connection requests can now be managed at a company level, and are no longer restricted to an individual user.

Why it matters

This new public profile allows owners to link directly to a profile when advertising the machine, and have the Assessment, Prestart, and Service details available to the viewer. Additionally, the profile will show the machine type, and values against the odometer, hours, or other measurements.

Why it matters?

Previously connections could only be sent to a single user, which meant that the acceptance or rejection of the connection was only able to be managed by the recipient. With this update, connection requests will now be visible to all employees within your membership and can be actioned quickly by those with permissions. Management of connections can be set within the role permissions of each employee, refer FAQs below.

How does it work?

Connections are still sent and received the same way (to a single email address), the only difference is that the request will be visible to all users of the associated membership.

Do I need to do anything?
No, unless you want to update employee permissions to allow individuals the ability to accept or reject connection requests, there are no changes required.On the people page, edit the user and click the Roles tab.

How do I update user permissions?

nder Advanced Options, tick (or untick to remove permission) Manage users, plant owners, sites, library and connections.
